Cat Nurses Chihuahua
When
she adopted the one year old cat, Killer, Mrs Isa
Gullable was looking for a nice, feline friend to keep
her company on long lonely winter days. But Killer lived
up to his name. Over the next four years she killed
everything in sight. She killed Isa's two budgies
'Frontal' and 'Lobotomy', she killed corncrake, mice,
rats and rabbits on the little Scottish island of Iona
where Isa has lived all the 74 years of her life. She
even began killing new born lambs and, after complaints
from farmers, Killer had to be kept in the house during
the lambing season.
But
recently Killer has shown a 'motherly' side to his
nature. It all begun when a Isa' neighbour, Mr Ayeright,
bought a pair of Chihuahua - these were kept in a cage
in Mr Ayeright' garden. Killer took a great interest in
the Chihuahua - but the wire mesh of the cage kept
them safe. When one of the Chihuahua gave birth to two
pups Killer became extremely jealous - then when they
were just a few weeks old he struck. Killer crept out in
the middle of the night, killed the two adult Chihuahua
and adopted the babies as his own.
Now
he spends all day caring for his adopted family and
shows no signs of killing the youngsters - so it seems
that a tiger can change its stripes!!
