Secret Service Seeks Fast Food Recruits
Recruiters for the Canadian Security Intelligence
Service (CSIS) have just discovered a previously
untapped national resource. The Ottawa headquartered
intelligence agency is branching out from its previous
policy of targeting college graduates as potential
employees. Now, the CSIS is also seeking novice recruits
from an unlikely demographic - fast food workers.
Robert Littlestem, head of Training and Initiation, was
dining with a colleague at a local fried chicken joint
when the idea struck him “These are the truly invisible
Canadians. They work in a fast paced, high stress
environment with little or no down time. Yet, many of
these fine young men and women still manage to get a 15
item order right on the first try. Maybe they aren’t
officer material, but they can certainly play a role in
keeping our nation secure.”
One of these new trainees, identified by her name tag as
Nancy, spoke on the record regarding her first
assignment for CSIS. “This spy stuff isn’t as fun as I
thought it would be. We just sit in a van all day
waiting to see if the MP is going to visit his mistress.
Aw, geez - I don’t think I was supposed to say that.”
So far, the CIA and MI-5 are not following suit with
their hiring policies. An unnamed source from Langley
had this to say “Well, the Canadians can afford to go
that route. It’s not like anyone really hates them
anyway.”
