Today a
70-stone Ipswich man is facing life-saving surgery.
Because of his size a military Chinook helicopter had to
be employed to haul the patient to a hospital in Sussex.
The man has been named as Paul Mason, 48, who
experts believe could be the world's heaviest man.
In the
last 3 years it is believed that Paul has risen from a
slimmish 50 stone to a super obese 70 stone.
In 2002
when he needed hospital treatment Mr Mason had, most
embarrassingly, to be taken from his home by forklift
through a window which had been removed.
It is
understood that a special drip has had to be developed
as Mr Mason must be intravenously drip fed 1 hamburger a
minute to keep him alive. Without that scientific
development fat people like Mr Mason would die within
hours.
Dr
Killalott, who helped develop the Burger-Feeder told us,
"When your super duper obese you need a lot of
carbohydrates and you need them fast. There's no way
just ordinary eating can deliver these to the
bloodstream fast enough. The only way is to get those
fats right into the blood. The new Burger-Feeder does
just that - burger after burger get injected straight
into the arteries. I believe as the world population
gets fatter and fatter there will be an ever increasing
demand for my Burger-Feeder. We can keep the fatties
alive - all we need to do now is design a bed that will
hold their weight."

Paul Mason weighed 50 stone (317kg) when this picture was taken in 2006

are fed intravenously - 1 hamburger a minute to keep him
