Leads to Archeological Find of the Century
Stavros
Papadakis, an amateur archaeologist, hit the jackpot this
week when he uncovered the remains of a creature long
considered to be wholly mythical - a Minotaur. How did
this find come to light after being overlooked for so
long? Papadakis credits the stars for his good fortune.
The Crete
local decided to spend the day pursuing his hobby after
reading his horoscope in the daily paper. The fateful
message said simply “Your current situation is
complicated. Revisit the past to find your way out of
the maze your life has become. Dig deep and discover
hidden treasures that have been available to you all
along.”
“That’s when
I knew today would be special” Stavros explained, “I’m a
Taurus - how perfect is that?”
The nearly
intact skeleton appears to be half man/half bull and
measures over 8 feet in length. The beast’s horns are
deeply stained with what scientists speculate may be
human blood. “We won’t know until we analyze it more
closely in the lab” stated Dr. Korba, director of
Cryptozoology at Athens University.
Dr. Korba has
always believed that the Minotaur existed. This find has
simply raised new questions. “Until now, we assumed this
creature went extinct after Theseus thoughtlessly
slaughtered the last captive animal. However, initial
carbon dating results suggest that this specimen is less
than 200 years old. There could still be man/beasts
roaming the hills of Crete.”
Since the
announcement of this information, several sightings have
been reported.
