stand up comedian has been banned from telling the
world's funniest joke after 14 people die laughing.

Kungfooh Manhead has been legally banned from telling
what is claimed to be the funniest joke in the world - a
joke, it turns out, is so funny that people actually die
laughing at it.Kungfooh
has been developing the joke (The Dumb Blonde and the
Pickled Onion) for several years and told it for the
first time at a Tokyo nightclub on November 5th 2008 -
he could not have anticipated the reaction. For the next
30 minutes the audience could not stop laughing - but
amidst the hilarity came tragedy - for 4 men and 2 women
died from the efforts of their laughter.
The
clubs of Japan are safe from Kungfooh's joke for at
least a few weeks.
Two night later Kungfooh told
the joke at another Tohyo club and got much the same
reaction - this time 8 people died. The following day
Kungfooh was arrested with manslaughter and taken to a
prison in a suburb of Tokyo. Although later released on
bail, he has been banned from performing and under
strict orders not to tell the joke to anyone.
His trial is set for January
25th 2009.
